Quote of the day: Love. Love is a hard thing. But I have always said, 'Just replace the word "love" with "God" and the world will be a much better place.' Tracy Emin |
18:00 Went to see Stephen plus
mum in Bolsover. It was a really nice and sunny day, and not too cold. We
opened presents, had pizza and chatted. I hope nobody's nerves were too
much wrecked... At the bus station, I picked up a Jeremy Clarkson book for
Stephen, which he loved! Huh! True love giveth shite gifts inspite of
herself to make the recipient happy! 20:30 Popped over to Heike's for some mulled wine. The whole church community including 25 children happened to be there, so it wasn't a problem to leave after 1 hour. I have so much to do! Cleaning the house etc. Well, I ended up not doing much. I'll do it tomorrow morning before the young men arrive. Oh dear... Called my nan and my mum. |
I'm on a "book binge":
auto-biographies! I "mine" them for quotes, and I suddenly find them much
more worth my time than novels. Funny, I remember my mother saying years
ago how much she enjoyed biographies, and I dismissed them as being
relatively boring... I guess this means I'm old now. I've just finished reading Tracy Emin's Strangeland. Amazing how much some peoples' livers can take... I've bought Stephen Fry's and Julian Clary's is also queued up. I've started on this book by James Frey, A Million Pieces. It is fascinating, just what I want to read right now. The quotes on the back of the book actually sum it up beautifully. |
