today, and I've taken up swearing -- in fucking conference calls!! I hope
I'll grow out of it before the next client call! ;-) Today I've learned that my interview will now not be before end of next week. Chris B is off sick, and he first wants to talk Amanda through the 10(!) tests he's prepared. Nobody knows what's IN those tests. I can only assume they're rather pointless, if they're coming from Chris... Great! More waiting! Amanda is telling me we won't know if I get the job before the interview -- the interview SHE is going to have with me! Ah, well...! In the meantime she wants me to help the PJMs out with "project management stuff". However, there's nothing to do at the moment... Alex has resigned!! This is still a secret though. Nobody knows. But Alex knows that I know. Apparently they've got "loads" of new people lined up, so things will get pretty busy soon... Spent half of the day tracking down
Nicole's leaving collection, I thought it had been stolen! It finally
turned up in Development, where I never intended it to go in the first
place... Fair enough, that way loads of people have put money in! :-)

Alex was sitting next to me in the internet
cafe today when I had the forum page up, and he actually said: "I never
knew you were a Boy George fan!" I almost fell of my chair laughing,
LOL! I thought he meant it as a joke, but the funny thing is that he
didn't! :-) He even went on saying that he should have guessed by my fringe...!! Now how's that a connection, I wonder?! :-D Stephen is planning a late Valentine's Day weekend-trip to Birmingham! I had to mention that on February 18th I might just nip off to hang around outside the London Fashion Week show... I am such a bad girlfriend! LOL |

Annoyance the day: We've been told we're NOT taking our rounded desks downstairs next week when we move offices. I can't work at a fucking STRAIGHT desk! And every one of the translators wants to keep their desks! Apparently the developers don't care and the other departments don't either -- which is a lie, they weren't even asked, I checked!! They claim they can't afford for the desks to be moved, but how come Amanda's shiny new PJM desks are moving downstairs?! I was kicking up quite a fuss, because I know how the staff will perceive this. It looks like no big deal and it sounds like a silly thing to get upset about, but having to sit at an unloved desk will bring the morale down even more! |
