I thought it would be good if the dates showed up when people searched for "Boy George" on those sites. There has not been much promotion on the internet, and I am sure there are some people who would actually buy tickets for gigs but who don't know that they are happening yet.
Even many of the fans I have spoken too haven't even bought their tickets yet even though they intend to go - they just want to wait until the last minute in case the dates get cancelled again. Well... they might get cancelled if nobody buys tickets!
I had the idea to set up Facebook and MySpace profiles "promoting" the concerts and providing all sorts of information. It's not much of an effort, and it's something I'm good at.
I have posted information on where and how to buy tickets, travel tips, and maps etc. The MySpace profile already has 80-something friends, and many people are really enthusiastic and come up with great ideas. But of course there are lots of nutters as well.
The next thing will be organising meet & greets and parties around the London dates and bringing people together that are looking for travel companions etc.
