Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me
Love, in fear, in hate, in tears"

Sit Down (James)
[pops up again and again...]

I spent a day at my parents' place in Germany this weekend. I think I last saw them over a year ago, in April 2006, if I remember right. One day is just about enough, I think. LOL

Friday night I took the train to Manchester Airport after work. I didn't have to pay extra, even though my ticket was for the wrong day. When I pointed it out to the controller, he just winked and assured me that it did not matter. I nearly cried, how kind! He didn't even want to hear my story. I'm sure he's had to listen to too many tear-jerking stories of flooded transport routes all week!

The hotel was not directly on the airport, so I had to walk for about a mile. It wasn't too long. I went to bed relatively early but couldn't sleep all night. All those worrying posts and blogs in the last week had got me all worked up. I got up at 4.30 and rushed to get ready. I was still well on time, but it took me an hour to get to the gate with the walk to the airport building and then the journey through the terminals. It HAD started to rain hard again.

Saturday night I spent a lot of time e-mailing the girls. I suddenly had a lot to say and a lot of philosophical theories about life, love and the universe to share! LOL Since I'm not drinking I've been worse than before...

After the 2 car bombs in London, there has been another alledged terror attack at Glasgow Airport yesterday, so Britain is on high alert again, and sir traffic is affected. But I did got home OK, with only a slight delay because I missed a train.
