What a day it's been weather-wise! It's been chucking it down without stopping, and not a single ray of sun could be seen. I got soaked walking to work, then dried off, then went to the dentist and got soaked again, dried off again, walked home, got soaked... Well, never mind!
At least the dentist visit was OK. He didn't do anything, just cleaning, and claimed that my enamel erosion didn't even exist. That NHS dental practise is interesting. Nobody there is native English, neither the staff nor the patients. All their dentists seem to be imported from Europe. Last year they had a Spanish lady, today's doctor was Czech or Polish or something. The receptionists all speak Somali or Punjabi. It's like a conference call at work!
When I came into work this morning, Helen asked me straight away why I was so happy. (Does it show?!) I said because it's the happiest day of the year. She tried to guess, but I haven't told her.
The BT engineer called and demanded entry to the premises. So I asked Heike to unlock the house for him. They had to move the sofa to get access to the phone thingy behind it, so I was worried. But Heike confirmed that all went well and moving the furniture had not been a problem, but "what's with all the roses...?!" I told her and she laughed for ten minutes. Sounded like I made somebody's day! LOL
