Ingenious, isn't it?
I suppose she's right -- can I pick the house? :- D

The bank holidays have been quite good so far. On Friday I went to the hairdressers. The guy spent what seemed like 3 hours getting my "highly precise" layers right. I felt bad for him! He even cut his finger and had to put a band aid on!

I have been systematically eating 3 meals a day, and to make things easier I went to a pub at lunch time. I did have a glass of wine as well. Maybe it's to do with the weather, or maybe it's just my sleep depravation catching up with me, but I have been so tired in the afternoons that I needed to take a nap. Very not me!

When in town on Friday I ran into Ralph who was handing out flyers and reminding me that it was Razor Stiletto night on Saturday. So I made an effort and bought a ticket, decorated a hat, painted my face and went. It was relatively quiet, probably because it's Easter and everybody is on holidays. Apparently I won the "best costume award", too"! At least Ralph decided that I had, and he was the judge. It's a bit pathetic because I had only thrown together some stuff I had lying around and put on some slap. Usually there are some more outrageous people around.... but, hey! That's probably why Sheffield deserves me! LOL

Today Stephen and I went to Derby, which is the "ghost capital of England", according to Most Haunted. I only found that out yesterday. We went to the cathedral, and the Industrial museum, and had lunch at the oldest pub.

When waiting for Stephen at the bus interchange, a Chinese man approached me and showed me an address on his mobile phone. He wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant in Chesterfield, so I tried to figure out when any busses were leaving for Chesterfield, and it turned out there weren't any on Easter Sunday. So I just took him along to the train station, bought him a ticket and put him on a train to Chesterfield, of which there were plenty that day. He really did not speak one word of English, he must have come straight from China. I wonder what he made of my impersonation of a "choo-choo train"! LOL

The "tour- ticket release (or-more-information) date" has been moved back to 16 April now, which is crap IF tickets go on sale on that day because I will be on a plane to my New-York stopover on the way to Buffalo. Kristine is worried that we will be in Canada that week and not able to make targeted calls to the UK venues to get seats fro the front row. Actually, I would be more than happy with seats in the 2nd, 3rd or even 4th row... if I really were to do all 17 gigs, I wouldn't want George to have to see my ugly face every fucking night of the tour! LOL That would be very creepy.

It's such a lovely spring weather in the UK at the moment, it's like a miracle! Of course people are going mad already, but it's not really that warm. I had to go shopping and bought a new pair of platform "dancing" shoes. I also bought a new dress - I couldn't resist. I can wear it in Montreal. Incidentally, there's a picture of the dress on the internet:

I finally managed to catch up with my Amnesty letters, too -- about 58 of them! LOL
Most of them even got through the fax machine eventually.
