...and now for something completely GAY!

LOL - Thanks to Richard!

I'm very excited and nervous because this week I did something I have never done before: I went to a self-help group meeting for people with eating disorders!
I had found them on the internet the other day. They only meet once a month, and the next meeting was just coming up, so I thought if I don't go now, I'll go never. I'm not sure what brought this on, but it could have been related to my "looking back" blog last week. I have been bulimic for 15 years! How does that sound?! It sounds worse than it is, if you ask me, because I have been doing really well... but of course I'm still not quite well.

The meeting was good, even though most of the other people were anorexic and also much younger than me. The group leader were extremely helpful and I've already booked a one to one for in 2 weeks time.

What I've also done this week was book an appointment with my GP, just because you have to see your GP if you want to get any help from the NHS. That will be an interesting appointment! Depending on the GP's experience with eating disorders they might not take me serious, or send me home (because I'm not starving and the NHS waiting list is 2 years), or... put me on Prozac! LOL Yes! The one medication which apparently brings great results for bulimics is Fluoxetine (a "selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor"), which in the US is sold under the name Prozac. The recommended dosage is 3 times higher than the one for sufferers from depression! I am almost curious to see what it does...

On another note, also very exciting:
Tour dates have been announced for October!!
I have already mapped out all the gigs, calculated the cheapest forms of transport, and Kristine is already hyperventilating at the thought of not getting front-row seats for all 17 gigs! LOL
I don't want to sound negative, but I cannot see George doing that many gigs in a row. That's very exhausting. I'm sure some will get cancelled - but will we know before we've booked all the flights, trains, buses and hotels???
According to Frank we'll know more on Monday. I don't know if that means that tickets will go on sale from Monday, so just in case, we will do a vigil Sunday night to be ready to book straight at 12AM! I guess we'll split the venues amongst us and each one books multiple seats for their allocated dates. That way we will get adjacent seats and will be faster as well!
Do I sound obsessed?! Don't criticise me, see above: I'm already seeking treatment! Haha!

Fresh from the press:
Marc has confirmed that the Montréal gig will be on April 19th (in the venue that I investigated)!!! So I could in theory make all 3 Canadian gigs!

My bonus has finally come through as well (Stephen got one, too!). But it's not as much as I expected because I had to pay over £1,000 in taxes this month! It's very depressing... so I am bloody well entitled to the State's services, I tell you!

This week, I made contact with Nigel again, basically because I didn't shut down MSN Messenger straight away... I feel bad for not sending a life sign for so long, but I never have so much time to chat, and I didn't want to disappoint him. But I guess not saying anything ever doesn't help either!
