Annoying thing:

This is upsetting me so much. There must be something one can do!
They are even insulting Oscar Wilde. What a bunch of morons!!
Actually, I think it's only one guy, that fat bloke who looks like he definitely shouldn't procreate. Well, looks like he won't because he's GAY!!
I hope he will go to HELL.

Hilarious:
Barbara off the Karaoke Forum. She's succombing big-time to "Forum Moderator Megalomania".

Oops, I think I've forgotten to write for a couple of weeks! Now it's almost February!

What has happened? Lost of work, a new haircut, no new DJ gigs because Coventry was cancelled...

The Coventry weekend was almost spooky. Susan was supposed to come and then spend the Sunday at my place. So I was cleaning the house, dragging in food and booze, getting up early on Saturday to prepare everything - when I got a text from her saying that her flight from Gothenburg had been cancelled due to a snow storm! What a shock!! And she had so been looking forward to it. But, in the end it all was for the "best", because the gig didn't happen so she didn't miss anything and she got her money back from the airline!
Poor Kristine of course travelled all the way in vain (if you don't count her visit to the B-Rude shop which cost her even more money!).
The people at the Glasshouse were shattered of course, but all really nice and refunded us our tickets. I would have stayed at the club anyway, but Kristine and Julia were not tempted so we went back to our hotel and spent a couple of hours in the deserted bar planning an intervention (interferal? interferon? Whatever, it involves strong rope....!).

We were skyping with Dick the other day and he again asked to be told the "secret" behind our "George obsession". Oh well, didn't I already tell him last time?! It might not be possible to "explain" after all... ;-)

I briefly spoke to Christian on the phone, but he was at work and so I didn't have time to invite myself... He's not coming to the concert, what a pity! Neither is Sybille. But apart from those two everybody and their dog are coming!! I just hope I will arrive in time and there will be no snow storms. I don't think I will make use of my hostel bed at all, as I have to talk to soo many people and need to be at Luton airport at 4 AM!

George is scheduled to go to Australia and New Zealand end of February. I don't think that's such a great plan, but we will see. At least this will allow me to have some time off work without having to travel to gigs! Haha!
Petra is coming for a couple of days on the 17th! I convinced her to fly to Luton rather than Stansted because the trains are impossible on these dates and she would be travelling forever.
I still have 1 week of holidays to take before April. I wanted to see Christian in Vienna.

I also must go to Munich again to kick their asses!! Anne is back from maternity leave and now Resourcing Manager. She called the other day asking me to "train all their freelancers" which pissed me off big time given that I had been doing exactly that for a good part of last year!
Munich now officially have no working Microsoft team in-house, which didn't seem to bother Ruth much at all. She was visiting last week and after my rant all she had to say was: "Don't be so negative, Kerstin!" It now has been escalated to Chris, Marek and Mark. What have I been saying for months??
Now we have to go straight to freelancers, and of course it will be me who has to resource everything!
So I will go once more and train Anne so that she can take over from me. My plan is to get 1-2 freelancers to join that training and have them act as external support for the remaining one (1) in-house lead.
It's all bloody embarrassing!!

I am also having power struggles with Chris lately. He hasn't got any clue about MILS, but keeps interfering with my work. I keep telling him to go away and call me if he has any issues because I can't be bothered to write long emails! We've been having long phone calls with long awkward silences because I'm refusing to delete the shared Extranet account that all the freelancers are using - a "clear violation of Microsoft security policies". He's welcome to take on the task of setting up an maintaining hundreds of individual accounts, but I don't want to be involved.
Thanks to that idiot in the Spanish KbTS team who keeps logging queries incorrectly to TQC!!!

Hallamshire has had the highest net contribution of all divisions last year, and the highest ever! No wonder if there's only the few of us doing all the work on unpaid overtime!
In hope that also means that I will get another bonus soon - I am really low on money at the moment.
Oh, and I might go to Redmond soon (in March) to see Microsoft!! Hurrah! Travel!!

The day after...

...in Coventry
