Pigalle Gig II

I had to leave work rather early to make it down to London this time, but nobody really took any notice because they were by now used to me only working 2 days a week!
I was sharing a room with Gitte and Kristine - Susan did not make it after all because her back had gotten worse! It's such a pity because of everybody she must be the one most enthusiastic and she had been looked forward to the concert so much...
When I arrive at the hotel, Kristine was long queuing, but I took my time because I did not have a table reserved anyway.

The wait at the club was very distressing and quite nerver-racking this time. For some reason they suddenly decided that people were not allowed to stand in the small spot where they were standing but should instead move up to the upper balconies where you did not see anything. It was very annoying, because even if we hadn't bought the expensive dinner tickets, we still had bought tickets, and didn't want to be treated like fucking cattle! Before they could force me upstairs (Thank you, Simona - you're a cow!) I sneaked off and sought cover at Kristine and Sven's table pretending to belong there, and when George finally came on stage everybody rushed towards the front anyway and it didn't matter!
The concert was brilliant. The only thing that was not perfect was the lighting - it was too dark!
After the gig we hung out at the backdoor, but George only said "hi" and set off with Mike without stopping for a chat.

I had talked to Frank earlier who stangely said hello to me first 8he must have been drunk or something). I asked him if anything was happening in February as I still have to take 2 weeks of holidays before April, and he claimed they were going on tour! What kind of tour? A tour without promotion, a single or album out? I think he was just taking the piss! When Elly asked if they were coming to Holland, he said: "Oh, we'll go everwhere: Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Brussels...". Mhm. Aha!

I did not feel like going out to Babe with Kristine, Sven and Klaus, and went to be "early". Elly had hurt her foot in the crowd and had basically missed the whole show, so I walked her to her hotel. We decided to take wheelchairs next time to get a chance to be really pushy and get in the first row as well!
