EasyJet announcement --Arghhhhhhhhh!!!

"Der DJ ist ja nicht schlecht, aber ich hätte lieber einen alten mit Makeup."
Christian

I left Sheffield relatively late on Saturday to catch my 5PM EasyJet flight from Stansted. During the trip I suddenly started to panic because I realised that I was scheduled to arrive at 8PM and the S-Bahn trip from Munich airport takes an hour and that if the flight was delayed I might miss the gig! LOL It all went well though and I had no delays at all. I turned up at the Christian YMCA at about 10PM. Kristine and Sibylle had already checked in and were waiting. The receptionist looked bewildered when I announced that yes, we would need a nightkey and that no, I would probably not have breakfast because I would be out at 7 the next morning! I did however not tell her why we were there: there were too many "Focus your life on Jesus" posters around for that confession to seem appropriate.

I got changed quickly and we marched off to the club, which was still empty. I realised that I had forgotten to get any Euros so I had to skip back to the station to find an ATM. It had slipped my mind that in Germany you still don't 'do' card payments in bars...

Christian and mate had turned up and we sipped our way through 3(?) bottles of prosecco -- on ice (?!), undoubtedly Germany's new national drink...

Klaus and his brother were there, as well as Gwyn, Helga & friend and Silvia & friend. Everybody recognised me from various websites. :-)

We were giggling with Klaus and Holger about the Ralf-König-esque look of most of the punters, and Klaus himself being the prototype of "blonder Schnösel"!

Christian was really lovely, I'll have to stay in touch. He has that perfect mix of Sammelleidenschaft, devotion and level-headedness that I can relate to! :-)

The club was filling up by and by until it was really packed. They even took a wall down to extend the dancefloor -- or so it seemed?! I didn't venture to the back of the room to find out.

George arrived at 1:30 which seemed very late because it was getting very hot in there! Paul was with him but he hid behind a loudspeaker boy and wasn't seen much.

The gig was great! George was playing some new tunes and omitting old favourites like Sweet Pussy Pauline. The crowd loved it, the atmosphere was great, and it was heating up more and more. Butch men took off their shirts and delighted everybody around them with their bodily fluids.

By 3AM the place looked pretty gay with males dominating on the dancefloor.

Another thing that might be of interest was that at one point George stopped the music and swore at some invisible person who was pissing him off. Klaus turned to me and said: "George like we all know and love him...!" But apparently somebody was throwing icecubes at the DJ booth, so fair enough! Even though threatening to smash somebody's fucking face in would probably not go down too well with a conditional discharge. Oh well... ;-)

We fell out of the club at 4something and staggered back to the hotel. I did get 2-3 hours sleep and even a quick breakfast before I left while the other 2 were still sleeping.

On the flight to Stansted I was sitting next to a Cambridge Physics professor from the USA who asked me why I travelled so my by place. He was intrigued that George "still has fans" and kept asking lost of questions!

I've noticed that lately people have been asking me the same questions again and again, one of the being: "Do you find him physically attractive?!"
It's always asked in a way as if they were expecting (or hoping?) to hear a "no, of course not -- it's all about the music..." kind of answer. Sorry to disappoint! LOL
It's funny, because a married couple would never be asked that kind of question. "What does she see in him?" becomes a pointless query once a couple have been married for 20+ years. And you wouldn't want to hear the answer anyway: It would either make you cringe or depressed!
Of course I am not comparing "being a fan" for 20+ years to being married for 20+ years. Of course not. Or maybe? Well, why not?!

Whatever, the definition of what it means to be a "fan" doesn't bother me much. Not at all, really.
[The definition of "love" maybe, sometimes. But also not much.]
I'd h
appily abdicate the title "fan" for something else, or nothing at all... I did not invent that term or concept.

And, by the way: Don't use the term "idol". That concept is completely alien to me and I find it highly offensive when somebody suggests that I have as "idol". It brings up visions of golden lambs and mindless copycats. Oh, lambs! Mhm... another circle closes! LOL

I case you are wondering why I am being so philosophical today and rambling on and on... it's not because a major emotional crisis has arrived. No, it's just that I am sat in the PizzaExpress on Euston Street and have a couple of hours to kill. PizzaExpress are being extremely helpful in that task as well because I have just learned that I will have to wait about 35 minutes before I can even place my order! (Not much "Express" there, really...) A large group has to be served first, they are about 50 people -- no kiddin'! Suits me fine though. And I do like their white Béchamel & chicken & mushroom pizza!

I just realised that Cesar salad & Pinot Grigio and that PizzaExpress pizza & Pinot Grigio are the only 2 dishes that I know I will order before I've seen the menu! Usually I take whatever sounds new and/or strange. I'm not much of a "the usual" person for anything else.

I'm so fat. I'm eating when I'm hungry, and I'm travelling a lot, so I'm often hungry. Gym seems like a distant memory... Am I bothered?! Not TOO much yet... it is still winter and I can wrap myself up.

But apparently spring is on its way! Munich felt rather Mediterranean at 15 degrees! England is colder, but April showers have started just on time...! I got soaked 3 times in 2 hours!

But back to the topic: Yesterday I did find him highly physically attractive! :-)
I could use a recent alawishyous quote but I don't really want to put anybody off their dinner! LOL
So I guess it's scary meeting a "fan", but I hope I'm not one of the scariest.
People who don't realise or admit that they do outrageous things because they are sexually attracted to somebody or something are likely to be very dangerous people...most probably axe murderers.
And they are the really scary ones.

Munich, 2 April, 9AM

Person of the day:
Christian
Interesting fact:
Klaus and his brother Holger are both fans, but not both are gay. Apparently.
Another interesting fact:
Stuey has put up a "white flag" on the forum entry page... Given the number of futile attemps of white-flagging in his direction by  almost everybody, this seems highly suspicious... LOL
And the whole idea of him being at war -- with whom?! -- is silly in itself...
Pictures of the day:
These are just a few fresh from the camera, red-eyes and all. The edited versions will be available on photobucket later...
