The Last Fight

If it comes to be that I grow old and frail,
I become too weak to wag my tail.
Then do what you must it must be done,
I'm fighting a battle that can't be won.

For on this day I'm laid to rest,
your love must surely stand the test.
You will be sad, this I understand,
please don't hold the guilt in your hand.

When the time comes for me to go,
hold my paw because I love you so.
Don't shed a tear, until I can't see,
I want to go while you're holding me.

Just remember we'll never part,
Because you hold me and I hold you,
In the corners of our heart.

The Rainbow Bridge Story

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal that has been especially close to someone dies, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

Animals that were ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams from days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one thing, they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

All of the animals run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly they begin to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster.

YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
If you have lost a pet that you love dearly, I am sorry.  Maybe your friends and family just don't seem to understand how deeply you  hurt. There are  others who understand how you feel because many have gone through it before . I would like to share these links with you and maybe you can find some help and comfort at one of them, I know I did.
God Bless You, Faye

  The Eulogy

Look not where I was
For I am not there
My spirit is free
I am everywhere
In the air that you breathe
In the sounds that you hear
Don't cry for me Mom
My spirit is near
I'll watch for you
From the other side
I'll be the one running
New friends by my side
Smile at my memory
Remember in your heart
This isn't the end
It's a brand new start
