I chose Dave's ESL cafe. It has many contents like a bulletin board and grammar quiz. This site is very effective to improve your English skill and you can communicate with many people in other countries.  I tried discussion forums, quizzes, quotes, slangs and chat central.
First, I entered the discussion forum?h and there are 21 forums (it contains culture health, etc). You can discuss various subjects. I selected Pets  and wrote about my pet. They wrote friendly messages. I want to check other forums. Though this content is interesting, I had to register so it bothered me a little. (e.g.1)
Next I tried gquizzes. I think this is the most useful content. Of course, you can learn idioms grammar and so on. Moreover you can learn about other countries' culture, food, and capital cities. The form of the quiz is you choose a correct answer among three, so it's a simple style. Some are easy others are very confusing. I could get an average of 75% correct answer. You would better to try this. (e.g.2)
Slangs is good too, come to think of it; I've never found such a practical content.Words are listed from A to Z. There're many familiar words like dinosaur and racket, and I know their general meanings, but I didn?ft know their slang meanings. In this connection racket means noise or an occupation and dinosaur means something old fashioned or out of date. If you check both quizzes and Slangs your conversation will be perfect and you can enjoy movies in English. And if Quote fascinates you, there are various proverbs and sayings. Every click you can see different quotes. Since I was a child, I like books about them, because proverbs have deep meanings in a short sentence. I found two good proverbs:
We learn from experience that men never learn anything from experience
The wise man has long ears and a short tongue
Lastly I tried Chat Central at all times there were 9-14 people in the chat room. I talked with Pakistanis, Americans, and Australians. I had a bitter experience here. When someone asked me "Are you studying Chinese?" I carelessly inserted  "I've been studying English for 1 and half year" I realized that I made a mistake, so I wrote"Stupid, Chinese!" I meant,"Stupid"as "What a fool am I", but another person didn't think so. He wrote "Stupid Chinese? You should apologize what you said!" I never expected such a reaction, so I was shocked and confused. Though I managed to clear up this misunderstanding, I was depressed very much. I took it to heart that I have to choose words. Now anytime I enter this chat room, I feel little nervous. However I think chat is interesting and not only abilities of English but also typing speed will improve, and I can know e-mail words like LOL.. (e.g.3)
Altogether, I think this site is very interesting. I want to exploit here!
