The Enterprise-D was equipped but not limited to 250 photon torpedos, high level particle phasers. When adjusted, the Main Navigational Deflector Dish may be used to channel high amounts of energy and when focused in a beam it has a large destructive ability. This tactic was used in the Borg conflict of 2366 but was unsuccessful because Locutus of Borg was aware of the weapon and made the Borg Collective capable of defending it.
The Enterprise-D is equipped with Deflector Sheilds.Deflectors create a energy field used to protect starships and other vessels from harm resulting from natural hazards or enemy attack. The transporter could not function when sheilds were active. Also referred to as deflectors, deflector sheilds, or screens.
