| Busch Gardens: A Trip Everyone Should Make |
Busch Gardens, in Williamsburg, Virginia, has been acclaimed as America's most beautiful theme park. Busch Gardens offers a fun filled day for everyone. The rides, shows, shops and restaurants will keep you busy all day. |
Busch Gardens has a European theme. The park is broken up into six countries, and they are England, Germany, Italy, Festa Italy, France, and the newest country is Ireland. Each country is different with only one common thread, and that is fun! |
After passing through the front gates, you enter England. England lacks in the ride department, but there are many stores to choose from. There is also a 4-D pirate show that is nice to catch in the middle of the day. You will find out what 4-D means, if you decide to watch the show. The stores are wonderful, but I would suggest the rides. The Loch Ness Monster is the oldest coaster in the park, but don't let that fool you, it's still a blast. |

Germany is a great place to eat and be entertained. The Festhaus has tasty food, and every hour there is a show. The performers dress is German outfits and sing and dance. They may even pick you out of the crowd to dance with them on stage. Group participation is encouraged through many of the songs and during the chicken dance. Germany also has a roller coaster that is great for the whole family. Wild Maus looks like a kiddy coaster from the outside, but with its hairpin turns, everyone will be screaming. There are many more rides in Germany for people who do not like roller coasters. The swings and the bumper cars are always a favorite, but if you want to lose your stomach then Italy is the place to go. |
Italy is broken up into two parts. There is Italy and Festa Italy. The newest roller coaster, Apollo's Chariot, is located in Festa Italy. There are nine drops, the biggest one being 210 feet. The ride is absolutely amazing. Exhilaration is a good word to describe Apollo's Chariot. Roman Rapids is a great place to cool down. If you do not want to get wet, then do not go on this ride. Many park visitors bring a change of clothes, because this ride is to good to pass up. There are also games to play, and prizes to win in Italy. |

France is the home of the roller coaster Alpeingiest, which has been ranked second in the world for steel roller coasters. It reaches 195 feet and has diving speeds of 67 mph. It is truly a ride you won't forget. There is also a sky ride in France, which will bring you to some of the other countries. It is a great alternative to walking the hills of Busch Gardens, and it allows you to see an aerial view of the park. France has the Autobahn, which is fun for all children. The children are allowed to be the drivers, while the parents are the passengers. Occasionally, Busch Gardens will put on concerts. The Amphitheater is located in France, and the shows are usually excellent. |

Ireland is the newest country. It is a beautiful place to walk around. The buildings, with thatched roofs, really make you feel like you are in Ireland. If you have the cash, you can even buy Waterford crystal in the shops. There are classes to make your own beer and a show called Irish Thunder. Irish Thunder is similar to Riverdance. |
The Land of the Dragons is a great place to bring young children. There is a petting zoo that children really enjoy. The rides are also geared toward children in the Land of Dragons. A mini log flume, and ferris wheel will have the kids laughing all day. A three-story tree house is a great play area for children and adults. After you are done playing, there is a good ice cream shop to try. The ice cream is out of this world, and the price isn't bad either. |
The prices for the park are $38.99 for adults, and $31.99 for children. These prices are for a one-day pass. I would suggest getting some coupons to help keep the costs down. There are also special deals. For example, you can buy a pass for two days for only $49.99. The park's hours are 10am until 10pm everyday, except for Saturday, when it is open until 11pm. |
Busch Gardens is great for all ages. There is something for everyone. The shows, rides, shops, and restaurants are excellent, and make the park enjoyable. It is no mystery why this theme park has been acclaimed as America's most beautiful theme park. |
