THE BALLAD OF THE BOY

'The Ballad of the Boy', a live favourite and the most inspired Censored.... song, traces of Oasis, The Stone Roses, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Jam, Bob Dylan, to name a few.

Blazing guitars, phsycadelic undertones, a pounding bass line, smashing drums and the kind of 'fuck off!' lyrics that any Rock 'n' Roll writer would be proud of.

Matt: I just love that song.
I wrote it after watching 'Sleepers' round chris' house, the first verse is about that, the second verse is about me dad, cos' he always says that everything in his past has been knocked down, the church where he got married, the pub he used to drink in, his school and the football ground where he played for Ilkeston Town, so thats for him. The last verse is about me cos' I never get any respect and the chorus fitted with the concept it wasoriginally written for and all the verses.
I fuckin' love that song.

Nathan: First time Matt said we had this song called The Ballad Of The Boy, I thought whats he crackin' on with?, but as soon as he played it to me, I thought it was great. Its a cool song with great lyrics, and great guitar parts - bass and lead, the drums are good too!

Chris: This song is one of the heaviest songs complete with solos and instrumental class, this is the one to make the crowd go wild!
