The title is deriven from the phrase 'Bashing The Bishop' often used as slang for masurbation and the lyrics are full of various similies, metaphors and double entendres expressing Clarkes love for descriptive writing and poetry, nnd also a brand of unobvious black comedy not heard since the days of The Who and deceased bass player John Entwhistle.

The song in it's self is as simple as Censored.... songs get with a clear pattern of verse, chorus etc. and a couple of raw jagged guitar and piano solos, Nathan's first vocal appearance on this bluesy number.
