It is not how much time we spend on the Bible that determines our growth as a Christian , but how much time we spend with the Lord in building up the relationship.

Jesus said that anyone whoever remains in Him, He will remain in him and that person will bear fruit (John 15).  It is obvious that Jesus is teaching us that we must build up our relationship with Him in order to live and grow spiritually.

Reading the Bible must be secondary to spiritual communion with the Lord Himself.  For it is not about knowing the Lord through the Bible that helps us in our growth but knowing the Lord Himself.

Therefore, as of today, let us build up our relationship with Jesus and make Him our very best of personal Friend!  Just as Jesus has told us that He no longer calls us servant but friends (John 15).
