The "Garung Guni" man

In Singapore, in the trade of the "Karung Guni" (Rag and bone), such a man would often call out to housholds wherever he goes, for the sales of old newspapers or electrical wares to them.  If at any one time, a certain household would like to sell any of these items to him after hearing his call, he would open his door and the Garung Guni man would approach this household.

In the like manner, Christians should have the same attitude as the Garung Guni man; reaching out to everyone to spread The Good News to them.  They must never get weary or the fear of no responses, but rather continue to 'scatter seeds' as often as they should.  In so doing, they are bound to find that someone somewhere who would have been waiting for their voices and open the door to welcome them in.

The Garung Guni man's attitude is borrowed from God.  Jesus is ever reaching out to man to come to Him.  It has been revealed to us in Revelation 3:20:

"
Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens that door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

So, be a Karung Guni man of God today!
