| The sheep and the goats It is indeed of biblical truth that some men will be borned as sheep and others as goats. All of this is in the knowledge of God but not for man. When God, through His foreknowledge, predestines someone to be saved in accordance to His grace and His riches in glory, to fulfil His good purpose, there was already separation among men! Whatever you have believed; be it that it is through man's decision that God based His predestination upon or that it is all the works of God who predestines anyone as He so wishes, the truth is that separation took place before the creation. In Ephesians 1: 5 - 14, it has clearly been revealed that God has already chosen those who would believe to be united with Him BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD. Although the secret is with God and not with man, we, who are in Christ, are called to reach out to the world - The Ministry of Reconciliation. It is therefore the responsibility of every good Christian to share the Good News to all; notwithstanding this spiritual and biblical truth. On the other hand, with this spiritual revelation, it does indeed help us to have an understanding as to why some men would never come to God even though we continually preached The Good News to them. But as I had said, this truth must never be used in the negative attitude that we give up on anyone! Rather, we should be like that of a man who goes about scattering the spiritual seeds with the understanding that it is God who makes them grow. It is in His good timing that we pray all of these seeds would grow, to the glory of God. - kueh - |
