| The "I AM" of Jesus The Word / The Truth Jesus came into the world to speak of the heaven in truth. To tell us that God is living and real and the One & Only. To let us know of God's love, mercy & grace for us and His Wills too. He also came to tell us of our sincs and how to repent over them and live a life of righteousness, truthfulness and justice in Christ. In all, the Word means "to let us know by telling us the truth". The Truth about God. The Truth about heaven and eternity and the way to it. The Truth about our sins and their consequences. The Truth that Jesus came as man although He is God & that in Him is the Truth. Every word that Jesus speaks is the Truth because it comes from our heavenly Father who is a promising God of Truth. Ultimately, the Truth of all truths is that God is the One and only living God and that Jesus is His Son. Whosoever believes in Jesus, believes in the Father and His Spirit lives in him and he has eternal life. The Lamb & Son of God Jesus came as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. God's justice requires a sacrifice for sin and God's mercy provides it; in Jesus the Son of God. God provides the Lamb for the atonement of our sins because He loves us and could not bear to wipe us out. Jesus came from heaven to earthe and God Himself acknowledges in many instances that He is the Son of God. Since God acknowledges Jesus, can we say otherwise? The Light This world is a world of darkness where every conceiveable sins are found; all done by man. Man is sinful because of the first Adam in us and loves darkness. For it is in it that he thought no one will know of the sins he has done. The fact is God knows! And infact it pains God so much to see His creations falling into sins that He sent Jesus into this world, all because He loves us and wants to deliver us out of darkness. Jesus came as Light to shine into our darkness to show us our filth and to guide and to deliver us out of it and into His Glorious Light, which is eternal. It means salvation for us in the form of seeking repetance and forgiveness from God through Jesus! The Way Jesus is our One and only ladder to the Kingdom of God. Without Him, there is no other way! He is our only link. That is why He came to show us The Way. He is That! The Resurrection / The Life Christian faith is based on the ressurection of Christ. If Christ did not ressurect, then where is the 'New Life' for us? For Jesus have died to sin and that Satan had triumphed! But this is not so, for Jesus overcame death by His ressurection and defeated Satan. Just as Jesus says "... But take heart I have overcome the world." In Him there is life. By His ressurection, we have spiritual lives. There is no other way to enter into a '2nd Life' unless through Jesus, our Lord & Saviour. If Jesus has not come into the world as a sacrificial Lam for our sins, we would have died as sinners. But by His crucificion and ressurection, His precious Blood cleanses us of all sins and "new lives" are freely given, life in Christ. Jesus died to sin ONCE and for all - for all of us. Likewise, when we put our faith in Him, we too, died to our sinces and ressurect together in Christ with 'new lives'! The Bread Jesus must be our main focus. He must increase and we decrease in order that we will be able to live our lives to the fullest in Him. It is through our relationship with Him that we will be sustained. There is no other ways except having Christ in our hearts and minds. We need to "eat Him" in order to sustain our spiritual lives. The Word is the Bread for our spirits. The True Vine All things were created for Him and through Him. Every blessings, mercy and grace, love, strength and all spiritual needs from God are given to us through Jesus. Have it not been for Him, God would not have even created the world, let alone us! That's why He is The Vine to us, who are like the branches, all 'nutrients' must come to us through Him in order that we may bear fruits. The One & Only As the One and Only Living God who came into the world to save us from eternal death, there is no other god who came as He did and from where He came. By the way, what other gods? Is there one? |
