Once when you are in Christ, learning to live a spiritual life is the next thing that you will want to do. But because of the temptations of this world, to remain spiritual constantly is never easy but not impossible. The key to it is to keep a constant vigil on who is sitting on the throne in you.
It is often miscontrued that once you have accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord, and that the spirit of God is now dwelling in you, whatever you do is of the Spirit. Infact more often than not, the Holy Spirit is often 'being dethroned' by other forces that which are the works of the devil. Such forces could be in the forms of: your pride, your ego, money, status....etc. Any of these could easily has replaced the Holy Spirit in you without your knowledge!
So, in order to live each day spiritually, you will need to keep constant check of your inner-self to ensure that it is the Spirit of God who is sitting on that throne in you. In learning to do this, you will eventually become conscious of who is dwelling and in control of your life at every point of time each day. It is only when you are able to do this that you will be able to remain focus on the Lord and live a life in spirituality. |
