| Salvation - How It Works When we confess our sins & seek repentance, salvation is gained. With it comes the Holy Spirit into our lives to give life to our spirit. The Holy Spirit works in us - He dwells in us - in our transformation from sinfulness to godliness. On receiving salvation, it means : 1. Our sins were all nailed to the Cross where Lord Jesus was crucified and died. 2. Our old self was buried along with the Lord. 3. We resurrect with a new life (spiritually). This is where the Holdy Spirit comes into us. What the Holy Spirit does is that He begins to build us up in a spiritual and holy way, working from inside out. He cleanses our mind of all sinful thoughts and replaces them with the Word of God. He strengthens us during our trials and tribulations, urging us to stand firm in our faith. He also helps us resist worldly temptations. |
