N.O.T. Pointless Ltd. PAGE 3
Een klein LGB tentoonstellingsbaantje - om zinloos mee te rangeren - in aanbouw...
A small LGB-exhibition layout -for pointles shunting- under construction.....

The construction in progress...
(LARGE PAGE !!!      latest at the bottom)
Well, this is the situation on januari the 5th. Basic landscaping on the one half is finished, so now I can start with the details.  Also - now that I know the position of the buildings - I can can finish those too. And I will start building slate fencing and walls.
These pictures give an impression of what pointless looks like after one week off work...progress will be slower from now on !
Recently I found out that fellow-modeller Marco Nuesink (click here see his layout) had a large supply of Welsh slate left over from his own project. So there will be plenty of slate on this side of Pointless...
Thanks Marco !!
With the slate I can now start the detailing: fences, walls, loads of waste on the ground...

Studio 22,5  supplied me with all sorts of details (Pola) to make interiors for the workshop.
And I have to start on the S.G. Wagon - to be parked on the  S.G. track.
Right & below:

The standard gauge wagon under construction. It will be parked on the track, delivering coal to the Pointless Railway.
I hope it won't be ruined by my painting & lettering...What you see below is fake lettering!
On a recent show in Kaarst (Germany) I met mr. Reppingen - a livesteam manufacturer. He and his group made me fall in love with livesteam (radiocontrolled with remote uncoupling !) So who knows... Also he sold me some cast brass levers for the points. I was looking for them. They are fantastic ! Although I do not know how they will work after loads of exhibitions, I am very happy with them now.
Take a look at www.reppingen.de  and tell him I sent you!

Pictures below are taken in febr. 2002.
BELOW: 25.03 2002.  Pointless' first outing: the NMF open days at the Zutphen Club. Vincent and I worked on the wiring, so the layout can be finished in the next few months.
A lot remains to be done, but I like it so far...
June 2002:  scenic work on the second part has started. Also the locomotive plates are  ready. I now have my own loco-works !!

Scenic work needs careful planning as everything has to be removable. Pointless is very flat when folded.
July 2002:  basic scenic work on the second part is finished.  I just needed one  more good (dry) day to put the boards up outside and merge the landscaping of the two halves.
