Lunar View
Looking across the dark, cloudless lunar horizon At the ineffably magnificent Earth rise -- A sight most brilliant and beautiful to behold, One can see a wondrous orb surrounded by an indescribable Aura of light, Orangy-brown land, wispy white clouds and vast oceans of Royal blue water.
Looking across the gray Lunar landscape, One can see an endless arid expanse of rocks and craters, Instead of the verdant pastures, towering peaks, Fluid waters, and diversity of life Found all across the face of the Earth.
Though empty and plain, Devoid of breathable air, gravity and liquid water, Bare of the minutest living creature, The Moon, filled with serene silence and traquil solitude -- Its virgin duty soil untarnished by the evils of the world, Pristine and unstained by spilled blood, war, Corruption and pollution -- Is a respite from the miserable chaotic strife of the Earth.
Only when removed from the Earth, Yet close by and able to look from a distance, Fully conscious of the Lunar world's inhospitable alien state, Can one fully appreciate the incalculable worth of the Earth, And decry the terrible abuse and desecration that Arise from our daily human failings, And seek and strive for a brighter future, More conducive to our Planet's better health, That encapsulates the pure peace and simple good Found all across our neighboring Moon.
