Course: Innsbrook Estates Resort & Golf Course

Innsbrook Estates has demons for me.  My high school team played its district tournament there
for three years, and in those I never broke 80.  I actually broke down in tears (I admit it!) 
after shooting 88 my sophomore year, when I had expectations to make it to the state
tournament.  My junior year was much better, when I shot 80 and our team qualified for state.
That was the last year the tournament was hosted at Innsbrook, as we simply called it, and I
have only been back once since, when I played in a local tournament and shot 87.  The districts
were moved to Crystal Highlands, a nice course down near Festus, Missouri, which unfortunately
I don't think I'll do for JNSE.  But there, when we were away from the demons of Innsbrook,
we won the district and ended up finishing fourth at state.  But that's enough war stories.

Innsbrook is located a couple of miles south of Wright City, Missouri, on Highway F.  It is an
enclosed resort community, with lots of houses and a big lodge.  The course is very hilly and
wooded, with a few ponds and creeks coming into play.  The course also has six par threes, an 
oddity which I actually like in a course.  Its best par threes are probably #6 and #8, both of
which go downhill and over ponds.  It is a fun course to play (if you didn't have to play in a 
pressure-filled high school tournament there!) and my JNSE rendition so far is awfully
accurate.  If I ever get around to finishing it (it's not one of my top priorities, and I only 
have 8 holes done) I'll get it out.
