Purdue University's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex has two courses: Kampen and Ackerman Hills.

The Kampen course is the "stud" of the BBGC, and is probably one of the toughest courses I've
ever seen when played from the tips (there are six par fours that play longer than 470 and 
three par fives longer than 590 yards from the tips).  It was designed by Indiana native 
Pete Dye, and opened in the spring of 1999 to great fanfare.  Unfortunately, the course's 
condition immediately deteriorated.  It has been getting better recently, but the greens still 
aren't very good.  But that doesn't matter in JNSE, does it?  I intend this course to be the 
second leg of my Purdue Open rota (with Ackerman Hills), and even though I don't particularly 
like the course itself in real life, I hope to do a quality rendition for JNSE.

The course is quite odd for northern Indiana, with dunes and wetlands galore.  The better
holes include: #3, a LONG upwind par four which I have never reached in two shots (I've played
the course about fifteen times); #6, a LONG par five which bends around a wetland; #7, a goofy
short par four with a split fairway; #14, a tricky short par four which bends around another 
wetland; #16, a monster of a par five (it plays 608 from the tips); and #17, a typical Dye 
par three seventeenth, with water.

This course will be a little bit tougher to do for JNSE than Ackerman Hills (even though the 
background will be much easier), but I hope I can duplicate this one just as well.
