Grading Policy and Honor Code
Grading Policy:
Overall grades will be calculated according to the following percentages:
AVID Classes
AVID Curriculum 40%
Tutorials 40%
Participation and 5th Day Activities 20%
I.B. Classes
Unit tests and final exams 35%
Essays/Papers/Projects 25%
In-class Assignments/Homework 25%
Notebook 10%
Participation 5%
You will earn a small grade each day for participation. These points are "all or nothing" each day. You can earn points by following the class rules. You can lose points by being tardy, having an unexcused absence, or breaking class rules.

90-100%=A 94-100%=A
80-89%=B 85-93%=B
70-79%=C 77-84%=C
60-69%=D 70-76%=D
0-59%=F 0-69%=F
Honor Code:
Copying another student's work is cheating. You also do not help your classmate if you give him/her your work to copy. Be aware that all students involved in cheating will receive a "0" for the assignment and may receive further disciplinary action.
