Fundraising Ideas
I would like to establish a large collection of successful programs that clubs can use as a resource. If your club has done any kind of successful program (recruitment, fundraising, social, service, etc), please email us so we can share it with other clubs in our district and internationally.
- Donations from Companies
- Companies are pretty generous about donating to Circle K, as long as you ask them early enough with a written request on club stationery. Ask companies what their procedure for donations is WELL in advance.
- Doughnut Sale
- Sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts
- Spaghetti Dinner
- Have stores donate spaghetti, tomato sauce, bread, and salad. Make and deliver spaghetti dinners to people on your campus. BIG money maker if you publicize it well.
- Trick or Treat for IDD or UNICEF
- This event is SO easy it hurts. College students have no good excuse to go trick-or-treating and this gives them one, so getting people to participate is a cinch. First, make sure you have enough UNICEF boxes. Request them early--before the beginning of the school year--because if you don't get them until November, you have to wait another year to trick or treat.
During regular trick-or-treat hours on Halloween, go trick-or-treating. At each house, explain who you are and what you are raising money for. If you are raising money specifically for IDD, tell them that 5 cents saves a life.
Suggestions:
- If you can, wear costumes
- Trick-or-treat in groups of 2 or 3 people
- Print out maps and divide up your routes ahead of time. People get ticked if more than 1 group of Circle K'ers asks them for money.
- Trick-or-treat around the dorms at your school in addition to going off-campus. Students can be pretty generous with spare change.
- Open this event up to other students outside of Circle K . . . it's a great way to get your name out and get new people involved.
- BRING YOUR PILLOWCASE!! Candy is the best perk of this event!
