Part II : Committees

Section A: Appointments

1) The Governor shall select and appoint each member of the Board to serve on a minimum of two committees.

2) All committees shall be chaired by members in good standing and appointed by the Governor. The chair shall report regularly to the Governor and the Board on committee progress and action.

Section B: Executive Committee

1) The Executive Committee shall consist of the Governor, Secretary/Editor, Treasurer and an Administrator.

2) The Executive Committee shall maintain public image and report on the progress of District Goals.

3) The Executive Committee is charged with maintaining and interpreting the Bylaws of the Missouri-Arkansas District and suggesting new policy. The committee shall review all proposed club bylaws and forward them to the International Board of Trustees for approval.

4) All materials produced by this committee shall be distributed to each member of the Board.

Section C: Convention Committee

1) The Convention Committee shall be chaired by an non-voting member of the Board appointed by the Governor. The committee chair shall work with the committee members and Administrator in the planning, development, and promotion of the annual District Convention.

2) All materials produce by this committee shall be made available to the entire Board.

Section D: Service Initiative and District Project Committee

1) The Service Initiative and District Project Committee shall propose a District Project to endorse and promote each year subject to the approval of the Board.

2) The committee shall educate members and promote the International Service Initiative, as well as the Worldwide Service Project, providing materials and current news on these endeavors.

3) The committee chair shall maintain a progress report on clubs participation in the aforementioned projects and share this information with the entire District.

Section E: Membership Development and Education

1) The Membership Development and Education Committee shall assist and encourage clubs on the recruitment, education, and retention of members, emphasizing the importance of human service and leadership.

2) The committee shall collect, develop, and compile ideas for clubs to use in their membership development programs, including posters, pamphlets, and manuals.

3) The committee chair shall maintain reports as to the effectiveness of district membership programs and make this information available to the District.

Section F: K-Family

1) The K-Family Committee shall promote the awareness and involvement of our K-Family counterparts-Kiwanis, Key, Club, and Builders Club. The committee shall also promote fellowship with our two brother districts, which change annually and are deemed as those counseled by the same International Trustee assigned to the District, and our two sister districts of Indiana and Illinois-Eastern Iowa.

2) The committee shall promote activities which promote K-Family relations. These activities include the K-Family Conference, Key to College program, and the KC2 program.

3) The committee chair shall make periodic reports as to the relations and events occurring in the K-Family.

Section G: On To International Convention

1) The On To International Convention (OTIC) Committee shall be chaired by the Immediate Past Governor or a selected appointee. The committee shall consist of a number of members as deemed necessary.

2) The committee shall promote district attendance at the International Convention via correspondence and information. The committee shall make necessary arrangements as to modes of transportation of members and District activities during the convention.

3) The committee chair shall present a progress report to the Board prior to the International Convention and immediately following the convention.
