Article VII: Committees

Section 1. The titles and duties of district standing committees shall be as follows:
a) Membership Development and Education: This committee shall cooperate with all clubs in the district to assist them in the maintenance of an adequate membership of appropriate standards, in the proper education and induction of new members, in the utilization of all members, and in the promotion of the concept of regular attendance at club meetings.
b) K-Family Relations: This committee shall work to improve the relationship between all Kiwanis and Kiwanis-sponsored organizations. It shall be responsible for developing projects and educational programs to expand and strengthen the bonds between these organizations. It shall also be responsible for developing and strengthening the bonds between the Missouri-Arkansas District and its Brother and Sister Districts.
c) Laws and Regulations: This committee shall maintain these bylaws in conformity with the Constitution and Bylaws of Circle K International and shall make recommendations to the board of officers for proposed amendments. It shall be responsible for the interpretation of theses bylaws for the action by the Board of Officers and for all matters affecting Circle K on the district level. It shall also review all club bylaws submitted for district approval, make revisions and approval recommendations to the board of officers, and forward approved bylaws to the International office for final approval by the International Board of Officers.
d) Public Relations: This committee shall assist the clubs with the development of methods to inform the public of the ideas, objects, programs, and achievements of the Circle K organization.
e) Theme and Emphasis: This committee shall cooperate with all clubs in the district to assist them in integration the International Theme and Emphasis Program into their program. It shall keep all clubs informed as to the happenings on the International level concerning the Theme and Emphasis Program.
f) District Project: This committee shall cooperate with all clubs in this district to assist them in integrating the district project into their program. It shall keep all clubs informed as to the happenings concerning the district project. It shall aid all clubs in coordinating events and activities to promote the district project.
g) Long Range Planning: This committee, composed of current and immediate-past officers of the board, shall be responsible for all planning concerning the future of the Missouri-Arkansas district of Circle K International. The specific duties of the committee shall be defined by the governor and the district administrator.
