18.03.1999 Update: Current project, the replacement engine
The story of one sunny day in June 98, with a happy ending...

Look! The buss! Even when there was a bus strike in Norway, this bus was on the road. Actually not. The reason for being at this bus stop this beatiful Saturday morning was a blown oil gasket in the rear (banjo) axle and a malfuntioning spark plugs and a blocked fuel hose... But, hey, it's supposed to be a page to honour and show of this car, so to say it in another way; it sure was a heck of a beatiful morning. Waiting 2 hours for my main mecanic Max Mekker, alias Frode Winum actually gave me a great sun burn and partly dehydration. The summers in Norway will never fail to surprise you, especially if you drive a roadster.

Hey! Look at that bright red racing color! Looking it's best in the sun. At this time my face was about the same colour as the car. This was the second weekend after the approval of the Norwegian Ministry of Transportation (Biltilsynet), and the first weekend with two seats. See any babes in the passenger seat? Neither do I. See the oil leekage (in the shadow there)? Thought so...

Well, lots of crome means lots of polishing. At this angle you could just stand back in admiration and say "Hey, those crome wire weels really paid of".

Watch out for my Tiger, just laying there sleeping in the front window, waiting for any thief coming by. I never feed my tiger, so be aware, it's always hungry. I love this picture, the fronts looking all agressive and ready to eat some more miles. To be honest, we're still at the same bus stop waiting, waiting, waiting...

"It's got to be the fuel supply" "Hell no, it's the spark plugs" "No, listen, it's just running on two cylinders" "Well at least it's looking great outside my garage". To the left Bernt, assistant mechanic, to the right (whipe off that stupid grin man, the motors not running yet) my main man Frode Winum.
Want to be part of the MG adventure and living in Norway, call Frode Winum (telephone 920 85 605) or go to din mg.no for more contact information. Frode will sell you a car in any condition you'll be happy about. Frodes life is devoted to importing and sometimes restoring small sport cars as the MGB. Note the wood holding the hood and the water hose running into the motor. Please don't ask. Well, what can I say, one week later everything seemed to be in great shape, spinning thoose weels of fortune...

...and out on the road again.
Approximately 60 mph with the sun shining, truly a blue sky. The roads around where I live was surely biuldt for 900 kg, 95 bhp and an attitude. The blurring of the trees, one hand on the wheel, the other on the stick and the high note from the exhaust mixing in with "King of the Road". Keep that gun running, all the way home.
Have a happy and sunny summer.
