Once uopn a time(1322 AD to be exact) there lived a Monk named Morgan Pym. Now as a man of Holy regard, He tried his best to serve God without dabbing into Earthly distractions.
Alas, that was tested as everything in life is and he fell in love with a servant girl named Katrina. When he professed his love for her(And Slept with her), Shit hit the fan and she got the plague(No not her monthly one, the BLACK one)
Angered at God, He Sold his Soul to Satan in exchange for 10 years with his love. At the 10 year mark, Katrina became ill again and died.(God that guy can`t get a fucking break)
Now before Morgan`s soul was eternally damned into the pits of hell, Morgan Made yet another deal with the devil. Instead of the pits of hell, Morgan would become a collector for Satan.
So, six centuries later, Morgan is still working for the devil, including giving satan his sick chuckles by telling each collection that they have 48 hours until they`re 10 years are up.All Without Sleeping, having mortal Friends, and Worst of All, He`s stuck permanently in Vancouver. (I`d take the pits)
Then, Morgan meets a young Junkie named Maya. He befriends her, (The twist being she looks alot like Katrina) And Comes up with a "Stick it to the man" Fashioned challange for Satan.
He offers to try to help the damned find redemption in those precious 48 hours. Satan, finding shits and giggles in this idea agrees, I mean He is Satan after all. And He thinks Morgans just wasting his time, because Being Satan, means Satan gets what he wants. And there`s no other way around it. It`s the shit you can`t fuck with.
Yet, Morgan Starts fucking with it, and actually helps some of the damned to sanctuary. But, The Devil plays along with it and taunts Morgan along the way in his many disguises. Because God knows There`s more souls coming.
There`s also the side plot, Involving a reporter named Jeri Who is trying to figure out Morgan. She has an 8 year old son as well. An Autistic Son Named Gabriel Who sees the devil in his many disguises, though noone else except Morgan and the damned soul can. Can We say Major Plot Point?
Anyway, as you can see this show is right up my ally. And I must say I marvel at Satan`s wit. It makes mine look like shit. Hey that rhymes.
The collector is on City TV (Toronto) at 8pm Sundays (Ironic eh?)
