| The Girl In The Mirror |
| The girl in the mirror-stares back at me- With a look that seems to know too much- And a heart that's never felt the Burn- Of a gentle-yet fulfilling-Love. She speaks, smiles and laughs- But has never felt the pain of regret- Yet seems to still cry ever so carefully and still content- Eventually this girl in the mirror realizes the pain of regret. The girl in the mirror is made of cold crystal- Hard enough to feel- But who is to say she isn't real- Or rather... Which one of us is really real? The girl in the mirror is a peculiar thing- She doesn't seem to ache from pain- But while I seem to suffer and endure- The girl in the mirror merely.Breaks. Still through it all... I realize my true happiness; It is the excitement and joy of our friendship Which defends me from any kind of sadness. So for everything you say and do I thank you for allowing me to be me And loving me ever so true. And with everything I say and do I will try to express my true feelings And how very much I love you. I will never intentionally do anything to hurt or upset you Because my love for you is truer than true And I will ALWAYS love you. ~Kristina R. Manuel~ |
