| Like a bright ray of sunshine Into my life you entered, Exposing the countless cobwebs of dust That in my heart had gathered. Like a bright ray of sunshine Ablaze you set my eyes, My trapped spirit you helped set free. Above the intensity, You showed me how to rise. You made me go through The maze of my complicated childhood And find the strength To set the past as a distant memory. A valuable teacher you've been to me: You've showed me the strength I need to find In the road of life I need to carve my role. For a better teacher I couldn't have wished, You instilled in me the will to live, To fill happy and fulfilled, My own battles to be confident, To fight and win. The midst had clouded my eyes Darkness was all I could see I couldn't see beyond the present, I thought the pain belonged to me. The big picture I can now see, Even though my heart has been torn, My heart no longer feels empty. I'm at peace with myself Waiting for the future to unfold.
