The Australian Fancy Rat Genetic Engine is based upon the US Genetic Engine from Ratbreeding.com.
I have carfully studied the engine and modified it to work with Australian rats. At this stage this is the only website to have such a thing for Australain Fancy Rats. The only other website currently active other than Ratbreeding.com is Rattus which is a swedish based website. |

| The Australian Fancy Rat Genetic Engine is here for one reason only, to help rat breeder and fanciers in Australia predict the outcome of mating fancy rats. |

Accuracy

The Australian Fancy Rat Genetic Engine is only a program, and thus can only be as accurate you the user makes it.
To this end the The Australian Fancy Rat Genetic Engine is a statistically based prediction. Therefore it cannot predict what the outcome will be, it can only guess what the possible outcomes might be as a percentage of the total of possible outcomes. This means that if the program predicts 25% mink offspring you may not get 25% or even 10%, or you may get 50%. Also the The Australian Fancy Rat Genetic Engine can only be as accurate as the information supplied. If you say that your rat is an argente and it is really silver fawn, the possible outcomes will be very different. |
