I've owned a pair of ESL-63 USA Monitors for about five years now and have had to have five panels replaced (the speakers only have eight total); however, the most recent four replacements have resulted from accidents where the "clamping" circuit failed to protect the panels during unintended, continuous low-frequency tones and / or a power surge. So I concur with Zip's message but will say that, in general, I see far fewer Martin Logan and Sound Lab loudspeakers in the local repair shops than Quads (perhaps because fewer people own them?).
