| Scamper was a beautiful, friendly and happy squirrel. He visited me often and enjoyed eating walnuts and having his picture taken. He and I shared some fun times. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Scamper had been shot as you can see from the picture to the right. He was having problems chewing and swallowing. He may have been shot with a bee-bee gun or pellet gun. The wonderful wildlife rescue people tried to save him. He was delivered to a caring vet who treats wildlife at no charge! However, Scamper already had infection spread through out his head. The vet mercifully put him to sleep. The kind wildlife rehab people buried Scamper in their backyard under a large tree. If you have childeren please never buy them a gun. Instead, give them something positive like a pair of binoculars, telescope or polaroid camera. Teach them to be curious and creative rather than destructive. Scamper, rest in peace. |
