for now...

Today I wrote a bit over 700 words on new Eddie Pacer story. Guess I better get that other one revised. This one will have a dog. Don't get attached.

Speaking of revision. I did look at this essay I drafted a few days ago about my trip to Linden. Couldn't figure out what to do with it content wise, but didn't love it enough to leave it to just some edits before sending on to Rejection Land. But didn't hate it enough to scrap it altogether. For now my approach will be to ignore it a little longer.

Speaking of rejections, I got two today: one for two poems I submitted to flashquake (with some actual notes from the editors) and one for two stories sent to Glimmer Train. However, I did get another note from T-Zone accepting one of my poems, "Son Reading." I guess since they didn't take any of the other four pieces I sent them, that there was some rejection there, but I won't count it. Instead I'll think of the possibility of another five dollars in my poor writing pocket.

So it looks, all in all, like a good day. I even got one of the rejected stories back out as soon as I could. I guess its silly, but I figure if I send it out right away, I won't feel bad for long about it getting rejected. So far that approach has worked okay.
