Writing notes
...an infrequent journal about the perils, problems, and sometime joys of my writing life...
July 28, 2006

Didn't write at all today/yesterday. Could hardly concentrate on reading. Then everyone was up and there was noise and stuff to do.

A couple days ago, I was going over some stuff about my submissions and noticed that I had had two poems accepted by Subtle Tea a long time ago, but that they had never been published. So I wrote them an email and got a quick response that I should resend them and then the pieces will appear in the edition after next. Apparently several works were "zapped in an archives failure." So I guess one could look for two little poems in a couple months or so.

Today (yesterday) I did get a note that one of my poems, "Concurrence, Part I," has been accepted and should be online at Contemporary Rhyme next month. The editor, Richard Geyer, even added that I could submit the rest of the sequence during another submission period. He asked for a recording of me reading my poem. Don't know if I can do it, but will sure try.

So though I got nothing accomplished other than reading my email, it wasn't a bad day.
