shalom!!

i would have to tell you ....that as a 20yr. old jewish guy...living inner city........{and born in israel by the way}.......i believe that you have your head twisted too many years away from the present...things are a changing........you must first question how much these words hold water today....... a tattoo is not so wrong ...it is just reflecting the content of that one man's soul...You are living in an ancient mind state..... i think that you should try asserting judaism into the modern world.....and modern ways.....just as you are playing with this computer.. modern ways....... but your body is your temple so its your decision...

.. but.. thats just my opinion,

lil' bird

Shalom!!!

I must tell you that I'm quite modern, and my head is straight (not twisted!);>)

For an outsider a Torah way of life may seem "ancient." But we should remember that just because something is ancient does not mean that it is bad or irrelevant. Some things even get better with time like fine wine! Tattoos are not a question of right or wrong, but rather of "forbidden" or "permitted." I think that if you had a taste of real Torah learning, you would see that there is nothing more relevant to our world today than Torah. "But that's just my opinion."

i dont believe the almighty should permitt or forbid.......the lord,if he is as he claims, ...would just simply love.

If the L-rd is as He claims, then He told us that tattoos are forbidden. It's written black on white in His Torah. The real question is, do we believe that the Torah was given to us by G-d? If we do, we should know that G-d indeed does love us, and one expression of that love is the fact that he gave us His Torah. If we received this great gift from G-d we should take the time to see what is written in it and to know what G-d really wants from us.
