My name is S.; I am 25 years old. I currently have six tattoos on my
body. I do not regret getting them, but there are two of them that I do
desire to have changed.
I was raised in a Christian environment, but always chose to buck the system.
It was not until I became pregnant with my daughter that I chose personally
to follow the Lord without question. Now, I allowed two skulls to be put on
me ( I did not pick them, I was asked if I minded and did not stop to think
about my future), and when I would nurse my baby I would see one of the
skulls and relized what I had done and the picture I was now painting for my
daughter. She is older now ( one ) and She still takes showers or baths with
me and she points to my tattoos. I am working on getting the money to have
them covered so She will never see them again. I pray God forgives me for
allowing such atrocities to have been put on my body (skulls), but I do not
feel that God has a problem with the others. Please, I do not feel that your
beliefs are wrong. I have read the Bible on the subject, and I did not have
them put on in submission to anyone or being. I chose to decorate my body
with some very beautiful work by some very talented artists. I also did not
mark my body in mourning for a dead soul. I think your web page touched on a
lot of very good points about tattoos. I do not feel they are for everybody
and yes people and times do change. I have always told people when I am
asked that if you do get one think long and hard about the consequences,
because they are for life. If my story can help you in your goal in any way
please feel free to share it. Tell people not to only think about their
selves, but the children that they might someday have and wish to set an
example for.
Sincerely,
S.!
P.S. Good luck and God bless you...
Thanks for your kind and interesting email....
