AUTHOR'S NOTE: Are you a fan of acrostics?  I am.  I usually look for them in just about every poem I read.  I try and see if the author slipped anything in for a subliminal effect.  If you do like them, you should also check out my poem, "The Rat Race."  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Serenity
By David Jansson
Daily, my life is ravaged
And torn by those whose
Victory is found
In abusing my beaten,
Decrepit, earthly shell.

In these times, my
Soul sustains itself in you.

Adoring, I draw close and
Wrap myself in your love.
Eternity seems of no consequence as
Sweet slumber envelopes my being.
On towards tomorrow time sweeps
Me away from you, where
Everything is at peace.
