| O Heights of Love and Breadth of Grace | ||||||

| O heights of love and breadth of grace Revealed to me when seen your face, For God so holy, white and pure And naught but justice can endure. That he should bear to glance at me With burning eyes like radiant beams Is mercy shown immeasurable; Forgiveness unimaginable. O dark despair when I realize My soul is bared before his eyes! Contrast to Him, my sinful lust Makes endless death a sentence just. Yet greater joy cannot be found, Amazing grace how sweet the sound! By Jesus blood, the spotless lamb, His beloved child I now am! In silence and in awe I stand When brought to light the rift He spanned. Though oft I try and think I can, It is not spanned through works of man. But Prince of Peace, the cross he braved To sacrifice so Id be saved Through faith alone and all will see To Him may all the glory be. |
