Jinx: Chrebet and Hawk attended the Ranger and Blackhawk game
while the rest of us took Gumbie on a tour of NY. We actually called
ahead of time to make sure that everything she wanted to see was
closed so that we didn�t have to go in them. The only sights that
didn�t comply was the Empire State Building but at least they found as
many people as they could to make the lines very long and impossible
to go to the top, Grand Central Station and St. Patrick�s Cathedral.
**weg** But at least she was able to see the different facilities of
NY. LOL!

Gumbie: I have therefore decided that NYC is really just a big facade!          Blackhawk fans for the day
It's like an old-time Western soundstage - it's got building fronts but nothing solid inside it. I was allowed a taste of a Ghiradelli hot chocolate. MMMM was it good! We found a hill in Manhattan, saw the outside of the UN buildings (I think the guard thought I was trying to climb the fence as I took pictures lol), Rockefellar Centre and a bunch of other (closed) places. Good times, good times!

Jinx: After our jaunt into the city we all headed back to my house to get away from the hotel rooms. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere�till we got in front of a computer and I showed Chrebet my new venture. After that I think we all got our second wind! As co-host of the MP that was playing at that time, majority of the characters were already at my house! If you wanted to wreak havoc what better way than to let the host do it all for them! **giggle** If you were a part of that MP�the whole submarine and torpedo scene was done at my house. I wrote for Claire and Edward as they dictated to me what they wanted to say. **g**

Chrebet: Working on the MP but that was great! Goodbyes to Laura & Jinx :(

                                                      Jinx: As for my new venture. I am working with my mother in attending
                                                      craft fairs and selling items that she makes. Knowing that Chrebet had a
                                                      young nephew and another one coming soon I thought this would be a
                                                      good idea to show her the items. If they didn�t buy it for little kids they
                                                      bought it for themselves! (I know you still have that train Gumbie!
                                                      **giggle**) Overall these pictures just proves what can happen to the mind
                                                      when sleep was not an option! LOL!

                                                      Gumbie: As I wasn't playing in the MP, I was feeling a little out of it at
                                                      Jinxie's house... until I spotted what Chre had been looking through for her
                                                      nephew. OMG! TOYS! I was told that I looked like a little kid at Christmas
                                                      time when I opened up the train set, the dino box and the farm. So we
                                                      played for a bit, so what? and yes I do still have the train lol!

Jinx: **Sigh** but like everything else the night and gathering had to come to an end.

Hawk: After the game, it was off to Jinxie�s house, with only one
quick stop to stalk some guy. Where was Ed with his camera when
you needed him? ;) Even after all this time, I�m pretty sure Jinxie�s
hubby still doesn�t know what to make of all of us. He seemed to be
sitting in the corner, watching us like a scientist intrigued with an
experiment. And it was probably justified considering the rest of the
evening. Between the bunch of us all huddled around the computer
laughing hysterically and the fact that we figured out that felt
children�s books are missing out on a major market, I�d think most
outsiders would give us the odd strange look. Unfortunately, with
most of us having an early morning, we had to break up the party              The hostesses finally take a nap
before dawn.

Chrebet: We have to get up when???? 4:30am!!! Checked the alarm clock to make sure it was set a couple of times. Get them to the airport & drive home without getting lost half asleep.

Gumbie: Chre, Hawk and I went back to the hotel, and determined we needed to get up at 4:30, to be on the road at 5. I was afraid I wouldn't hear the alarm as I was wearing earplugs (cause man do those two SNORE!) but in fact it woke me up. So we hauled our bippys out of bed, Hawk checked out, we hit Dunkin Donuts for our
                                           morning repast and then made it to the airport (without going through the slums
                                           hurray!)

                                           We checked in and waited at the gate... and I have to tell you, I can't believe we
                                           were late again! On the Friday when we'd left, they'd lost the plane, Friday night
                                           Jinx and I were convinced they'd lost the passengers, since Jenner and Pam
                                           weren't there; this morning, they'd lost the flight crew! Actually there is a very
                                           reasonable explanation, the flight crew had gotten in late and they have to be out of
                                           the airport for a certain number of hours. Anyways we got on the plane to find we
                                           weren't in the emergency exit aisles (I STILL can't believe the woman lied to me,
                                           it's not like it was a busy flight or anything) but that shortly didn't matter at all
          The party's over          because I fell asleep ;)

Hawk: So then it was Tuesday. Once again it was up before the sun to make it to the airport. The difference? This time all I had to look forward to was the excitement of going back to work. Woo-frickin�-hoo. Again it took an hour to get off of the ground. Again I found it funny that it was Ken and Payne on a plane together. ;) I can�t really say how the flight was � I was unconscious for most of it. I finally pulled into my parking spot at about 11:00am, and was now so wide awake I figured there was no way I�d be able to get much sleep. Man was I ever wrong! I was out before my head hit the pillow. I woke up and looked over at the clock� 1:56, more sleep than I thought I�d get� uh, wait a second, that�s a pretty funny looking 1. Oh, that�s because it�s a 4�

Gumbie: I woke up when we hit the ground in Toronto. I didn't realise we'd hit the ground though so it freaked me out at first. Through customs again, picked up my bag, and abandoned (((Hawkie))) at the baggage check - too tired! My dad was waiting outside for me, I went right home and to bed. mmmm sleep good. Thanks for an awesome time guys! What a great way to spend Reading Week! =)

Chre's observation of the weekend � I�m mostly impressed that I remembered to take pictures! LOL!

Jinx: I miss you guys already! {{{{{gatherers}}}}} September is just too far off! But I have something in mind **weg** And you�ll know soon enough **giggle** Now off to plan for Worldwide!!!!!!
