 On the recent verdict issued by a Scottish court against two Libyan nationals

In the name of Allah

    The world followed up in the past two days, the verdict of the Scottish court on the Lockerbie case, the verdict which found one of the defendents innocent and convicted the other. Eversince the strange verdict was issued, the world has been following up with interest, comments of the legal analysts and their strong surprise at the judgement, which has no legal foundation, but expresses a clear judicial diversion from law to politics. The verdict has put the Scottish judiciary in a crisis unprecedented in its history and indeed put the world public opinion and human conscience in a conflict between good and evil, justice and injustice, domination and liberation, We believed the Scottish judiciary would demonstrate the love and morals advocated by the Messiah, and up- hold the tolerant teachings promoted by Christianity. However, all such hopes were in vain, the judiciary could not bear to stand before the overwhelming cur-rent of hostility and animosity produced by western culture with all its tools and apparatus centuries ago. The judges have dearly stated that east is east and the west is west and that the west can never look fairly on Islam and Muslims, no matter how the legal bases tried to place it within that context. Thus judges passed their sentence under political pressure in contra- diction with their believe and what they expressed in their reasonings in which they declared, that is the problem which projected to Lockerbic case its true image i.e the Muslim view of the west can only be a terrorist even if the evidence was contradictory; True arc the words of Allah as he says:" And the Jews will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed" Today we caution the Muslim masses and their Islamic leaderships and organizations that the case through its cultural and  historical perspective is an act of hegemony, slavery and a fierce war against Islam and Muslims, we are requested today to make a conscious reading of the repcecussions behind the conflict and its cultural legacy still govern the western look on Islam until the present day. The Muslim world with all its organizations is requested to express indignation at the uncivilized- behavior from the part of the west. It is also requested to express the fact that the Muslims were subjected to much tragedies through which the western world has tried to sabotage the Muslim World. Therefore, we call on the Muslim masses to condemn this conspiracy by exposing its dimensions and deplore its behavior before all inter- national organizations and regional bodies through demonstrations, sit-ins and the use of all information means and mosque pulpits.
