DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
The Editorial Committee (EC) of Mining and Metallurgical Annals
("MMX") welcomes for publication all manuscripts which deal with every
aspect of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering and related fields. However,
manuscripts that are submitted for publication in "MMX" should be written
according to the guidelines preseneted below.
1 TEXT PREPARATION
The main text should be written in Greek. Articles in languages other-than-Greek
will be accepted only in special cases, e.g., for special issues of "MMX".
Prospective authors should submitt three (3) copies of their manuscript
to the EC of "MMX". The manuscript must be typed double-spaced on one-side
A4 paper (European) or letter-size paper (American). Its length should
not exceed twenty-five (25) typed pages (excluding figures and tables).
The references inside the main text must be numbered inside square brackets
[ ] (not as superscipts) in order of appearance. At the end of the main
text, all references must be presented in numerical order (not in alphabetical
order) and must include:

Author(s) name: last name(s) and initials.

Year of publication in parentheses.
-
Full title of publication (article, book, etc.) inside quotes.

Full name of journal or conference proceedings (use upright characters
only; do not abbreviate the name of the journal or conference; bold or
italics should be avoided).

For a book or conference proceedings, publisher's name and place of publication.
-
For a journal, volume and issue number.
-
Pages of start and end.
Here are two examples:

Kelly, E. G., Spottiswood, D. J. (1982), "Introduction to mineral processing",
J. Wiley & Sons, New York, pp. 301-322.

Pal, R., Misliyah, J. (1985), "Flow in froth zone of a flotation column",
Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly, vol. 29, no. 2, pp. 97-103.
References to publications to which the reader has limited access (internal
reports, unpublished articles, etc.) should be avoided.
Each manuscript should be accompanied by:

an abstract in Greek (150-200 words)
-
author's name-address-affiliation, manucript title, and abstract of 250-300
words in another language (preferably in English).
One set of original drawings, tables and photographs should be submitted
together with the manuscript. The tables and drawings should be of laser-printer
quality, or drawn in black ink. The photographs should be preferably black
and white printed on non-glossy paper. The captions of the figures and
photographs should be written on a separate page in double: in Greek and
in another language (the same as that of the second non-Greek abstract).
The tables should have overcaptions written only in Greek.
2 SUBMISSION, REVIEW AND PUBLICATION
All manuscripts for publication in "MMX" should be sent to the following

Manuscripts submitted for publication to "MMX" must be original and must
not have been published elsewhere previously.
Each manuscript received by the EC will be sent subsequently to a reviewer,
an expert on the same or similar subject who will judge the suitability
of the manuscript for publication. A manuscript that does not conform to
the above preparation guidelines will not be sent to a reviewer, but instead
it will be returned to their author(s).
When a manuscript is reviewed, revised and finally accepted for publication,
the EC of "MMX" will do the typesetting and will send the printer proofs
to the author for a final check. At the same time, the author will be asked
to pay a publication charge of EUR3.00 (US$4.00) per printed page. Paying
this fee is optional; nonetheless, it helps the survival of "MMX".
3 COPYRIGHT ISSUES
The copyright, title, interest and all right in all articles published
in "MMX" belong to the Hellenic Society of Mining and Metallugical Engineers
(HSMME). Authors reserve (i) all proprietary rights other than copyright,
such as patent rights, related to their articles (ii) the right to make
limited reproduction of their published articles for personal use or for
use of their employer(s). No other person is allowed to make and distribute
copies of "MMX" in any form, typed or electronic, without written permission
by the HSMME.
Each published article expresses the views of its author(s) only. The
EC of "MMX" and the HSMME do not assume any responsibility for views expressed
in authored articles published in "MMX".
