This page is currently under
construction... Still trying to "tie" everything together for this
page.
I haven't really decided what to do here yet. Knot tying has been an
interest of mine since I was a young boy in Scouting. I'm one of those people
that once I learn a knot, it sticks with me...I don't need to practice it every
day to remember how it was done. Look at one of my other webpages..Rope
Rescue...hmmm, bet there's knots to be learned. Nothing upsets me more than to
watch "rope rescue" personnel struggle with a knot, or pull a picture
of a knot (or rigging) out of their pocket to show them how to do
it.....there's only a couple of knots that you really need to know, SO KNOW
THEM WELL....'nuff said!.
I've include a few neat links and a couple of pictures, hopefully you'll
discover how interesting, and practical, knot tying can be.
Just for starters....This is a
small "microme" dragonfly that I'm making. These are about 2 inches
long. I have them on a thin wire (to put in a flowerpot...makes it look like
it's flying), with a pin to wear as jewelry, and with a magnet, for the
refridgerator, etc. The picture doesn't do it justice...the cordage is a bright
metallic green/blue, actually looks pretty lifelike.
A couple of good links to check out for now.
