Autobiography
If
to choose one word to describe myself, “loyalty” would be the most
appropriate. Because I am loyal to
what I choose, I devote whole self into what I do; because I am loyal to my
family and friends, I do not take anything for granted; and because I am loyal
to myself, I will not go against my principle.
Since I was little, I have been moving between places. In order to prevent myself from feeling isolated, I’ve developed strong adaptability to any new environment or situation. From these ever-changing circumstances, I understand nothing can be taken for granted, and everything exists for a reason. Most important of all, I believe through hard work and cooperation, everything is possible.
One of the turning points in life is five years in Chung Yu Junior College, because it is the base training ground for my leadership, coordination, and management capabilities. Not only I maintained good grades, but also I devoted myself to the drama club. In the drama club, I played various characters, which enable me to experience all facts of life, understand the importance of being objective, and view things from different perspective. And also because of the expanded responsibility, at the last year of Chung Yu, I directed a play to compete in the National Collegiate Theater Award.
After Chung Yu, I started working for TPR English School in Taichung as a secretary and part-time teacher. That was my first official contact with the business environment. It was a fruitful experience. There I had the hands on experience with accounting, marketing, communication, and management. After this initiation to the real world, I went to Western Washington University to further my education.
In Western, I majored in Management Information Systems, there I learned to design various database systems for the business and management needs, enabling any level of the organization to access any desired information aiming for decision making. And later in Business Administration in the master program, I used what I’ve learned in the information management to apply to research, data gathering, and analysis requirements.
The experience in Western is worthwhile.
It doesn’t matter whether the subject is marketing, economics, accounting, or
management, everything is designed to be a replica of the real business
world. And the work load from the
classes and being the research assistant has prepared me to work anything out
effectively and efficiently.
Still, everything learned in school does not mean anything unless it’s applied in the real world. Thus, to use all I have in the real world has become the goal for me. With this goal in mind, I joined IMPAC Taiwan Limited, as a management consultant at the beginning of 1998. My duties include conducting client company analyses to let the company understand where they stand; designing and implementing management control system to enable the client control its company’s limited resources to its full use. And later on in the IMPAC life, I have performed auditing work on IMPAC projects all over the Asia as IMPAC Services Specialist, to ensure that the projects are being delivered according to IMPAC procedure and standard.
At this point of my
career, I am seeking new professional challenges where I can provide creative
management expertise. I would
welcome the opportunity to meet, discuss and explore the possible merging of my
talent, experience and enthusiasm, with your organization needs.
