| Lesson 7 | ||||||||
| What's on for today and why? | ||||||||
| Wraping it all up - today's lesson will bring closure to the unit by having students share their reviews of the movie and what they learned throughout the unit. Since the reviews will have been written with consideration of everything we talked about in class as well as everything they experienced on the webquest this is a good way of tying in their independent work with what we have been doing in class. | ||||||||
| What to do: | ||||||||
| First have the students get togather in the groups they have been working with since the beginning of the unit and have each student in that group share their review. They can either read what they wrote verbatim or simply talk about what they wrote. What's important is that they are sharing their insights on the film. After 10-15 mintes ask the group to choose one review that they want to share with the whole class. Then have the students arrange their desks into a large circle and ask the representative from each group share their review. This should take another 10-15 minutes. Finally, go around the room and have each student say "I learned..." and name something new that they learned as a result of this unit. | ||||||||
| How did it go? | ||||||||
| You've made it to the end of the unit! Did you hear students talking about their reviews? Did each student come up with one thing that they learned through this experience? If so this unit was a success! | ||||||||
