| Trip to the WCWS Wow, I had so much fun! What a week! Have you ever had a week where you just knew you were going to wake up? Like no joke. I thought "I can't possibly be here. It's too good to be true" I mean, I walk into the hotel where I was going to stay and one of the people in this world that I wanted to meet most was there checking in!!!!(Jessica Mendoza!){I didn't say anything to her then because she was busy w/ her hands full trying to check in and I didn't want to bother her, but I did get to meet her later) Then later that day I got to watch Arizona practice on the field[we went to find the field since we weren't sure exactly where it was and when we did FINALLY find it we found Arizona practicing on it. (we seemed to go in circles) The practice was awesome. We just caught the very end, but every player was focused and everything went so smoothly. No-one complained when they had to run and everyone did thier best and looked to be having fun doing it! Then later I meet Jessica Mendoza, Britni Sneed, Jennie Finch, Trena Peel, and Jocelyn Forest. I also got to see all the All-Americans. Including another player who I really really wanted to meet, Amanda Freed, but didn't get to meet her just saw her. :( Watching her play was awesome though and I took pictures. Wow, her throw from centerfield! THAT was Great! I went to every single game(of course, I couldn't miss even one). The 1st one was extremely shocking!! :( My fav. parts of the trip: -Talking to Jessica Mendoza -All-American B. -Watching Amanda Freed Play -Jennie Finch's homerun(It was shot!) {I liked all the HRs but I think her's was my fav.) -getting to see alot of great softball players who love the game and play hard -Okay I enjoyed the whole entire trip. Even the 8 hr. drive up(because I was so excited). The only thing that may have made it better would have been in LSU and Stanford had made it. :( Still trying to figure out how to fix that one. Anyway, I had the best week of my life, thanks to some very special people! Including Jessica Mendoza, my dad(who drove 8 hrs.,sat through 13 games, and had to listen to me count down days/hrs. till the WCWS and me talk about softball the entire time, ), Jennie Finch, and all the other awesome people that were so incredibly nice to me up there in OK! I could write pages and pages about my trip, but you probably don't want to hear about it in that much detail. I love to tell about it, and get really excited when I tell people about it and show them all the pictures and tell about each person in them(I have them all neatly labeled who they are and whats going on in them, but I still have people ask and then they get to hear the details-which I never mind giving) |
